If you thought last week’s price rollbacks were rather stingy, this week’s adjustments are even smaller, although they’re still trending downward.

For the period of August 6 to 12, 2024, gasoline prices will go down by P0.10 per liter, adding ever so slightly to the P0.75/L  decrease last week. Diesel prices will also continue to decrease by P0.20 per liter, after the previous P0.85/L adjustment. Finally, kerosene will have a price rollback of P0.45 per liter

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P9.50/L and P6.65/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2024. Meanwhile, kerosene prices will have had a net decrease of P0.75/L since the start of the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work. Is your car consuming more fuel than usual? Here’s one thing to check. While we’re at it, here are the signs your fuel injectors could be failing.
