PH fuel price update: P0.50/L increase for gasoline effective September 3

If you’re scheduled to top up your fuel tank this week, you’ll have to cough up a slightly higher amount—prices are trending upward.

For the period of September 3 to 9, 2024, gasoline prices are up by P0.50 per liter. Diesel prices are also higher by P0.30 per liter, while kerosene has a price hike of P0.70 per liter. This comes after last week’s rollbacks.

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P7.40/L and P4.35/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2024. Meanwhile, kerosene prices will have had a net decrease of P3.30/L since the start of the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work.
