“Full tank, sagad” will be easier to say this week if you’re planning to top up your tanks—the rollbacks are pretty generous for both gasoline and diesel.

For the period of September 10 to 16, 2024, gasoline prices will go down by P1.55 per liter, after a P0.50/L increase last week. Diesel prices will also decrease by P1.30 per liter, offsetting last week’s P0.30/L hike. Finally, kerosene will have a price rollback of P1.40 per liter

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P5.85/L and P3.05/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2024. Meanwhile, kerosene prices will have had a net decrease of P1.90/L since the start of the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work. Is your car consuming more fuel than usual? Here’s one thing to check. While we’re at it, here are the signs your fuel injectors could be failing.
