Did you enjoy the long holiday? If you went on a road trip, we hope it was just the thing to recharge you as the ‘ber’ months begin (yes, it’s that time of the year again). And we hope you remembered to refuel upon returning.

That’s because from August 26 to September, 2025, gasoline prices go up again by P0.70 per liter, adding to last week’s P0.60/L increase. Diesel prices, too, become higher by P0.50 per liter, after last week’s P0.80/L uptick. Finally, kerosene has a price hike of P0.30 per liter.

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P12.10/L and P12.45/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2025. Meanwhile, kerosene will have had an overall increase of P2.05/L for the year thus far.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work. Is your car consuming more fuel than usual? Here’s one thing to check. While we’re at it, here are the signs your fuel injectors could be failing.
