We’re still in for higher fuel prices this week, unfortunately, but the price hikes are smaller than in previous weeks.

For the period of September 16 to 22, 2025, gasoline prices go up again, by only P0.10 per liter versus the last P1/L increase. Diesel prices are also increasing by P0.50 per liter, adding to last week’s P1.40/L gain. Finally, kerosene will have a price hike of P0.10 per liter.

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P13.90/L and P15.35/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2025. Meanwhile, kerosene will have had an overall increase of P3.55/L for the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work. Is your car consuming more fuel than usual? Here’s one thing to check. While we’re at it, here are the signs your fuel injectors could be failing.
