The end of September brings mixed movement in fuel prices—one that favors those with gasoline vehicles, but only slightly.

For the period of September 30 to October 5, 2025, gasoline prices are going down by a scant P0.20 per liter after more than a month of upward movement. Diesel prices, however, continue to rise, increasing by P0.90 per liter. Finally, kerosene will have a price hike of P0.90 per liter.

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P14.70/L and P17.05/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2025. Meanwhile, kerosene will have had an overall increase of P5.45/L for the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work. Is your car consuming more fuel than usual? Here’s one thing to check. While we’re at it, here are the signs your fuel injectors could be failing.
