Finally, for the first time in around two months, diesel prices will go down this week—but unfortunately, gasoline prices are still trending upwards.

For the period of October 21 to 27, 2025, diesel prices are going down by a significant P0.70 per liter, but this doesn’t negate all the price hikes in the past weeks. Gasoline prices, on the other hand, will rise by P0.10 per liter. Finally, kerosene will have a price rollback of P0.60 per liter.

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P15.30/L and P17.15/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2025. Meanwhile, kerosene will have had an overall increase of P4.85/L for the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work. Is your car consuming more fuel than usual? Here’s one thing to check. While we’re at it, here are the signs your fuel injectors could be failing.
